Planning

While wedding planning seems to be continuing at a smooth rate, life planning seems to not be.

School is rough.

Figuring out what to do with the rest of my life is rough.

Trying to graduate is rough.

Today I waited for over half an hour for an advisor who eventually didn't end up showing for our scheduled meeting. Thankfully God still made it possible for me to see an advisor, just not my own. Anyway I was able to get what I needed, but still the fact that it is so hard to find help at this university just boggles me. We are told over and over again at freshman orientations and through countless emails how available people are to help you yet when you actually need it..

no one

If anything this just shows me how much more I need to be relying on God through these times instead of advisors. If only God could come here in person, sit with me by this computer and point to the class I need to take to graduate. While I know He physically can't do that, spiritually He can. He is in the advisor who so kindly met with me off schedule, He is in the secretary who tried so hard to get me what I needed, and He is in me now telling me that His will prevails.

A New Adventure

This past weekend Joseph and I went to watch his very talented sister perform in the Grand Rapids Youth Symphony. And trust me she is talented, she got accepted into Curtis Institute of Music (not an easy task), Josephs family is nothing short of hard work and dedication. We rounded out the trip by going to the local zoo and visiting with his family, just to turn around and go visit mine, but it was a great weekend/week

I must say that I have one handsome gentlemen on my hands, not to mention tall! Joseph is a whole foot taller than me, which is more than ok, it makes his hugs very warm and comforting. The weekend was a great start to our summer and an even greater lead in to what happened next!

In case you couldn't tell from the picture, Joseph proposed to me on May 9th 2013, and of course I said yes! Keep looking for the proposal story to be posted soon!!

Blogging

I used to blog in high school. It was something I was very fond of, but, my being a teenager, it really did not have much sense nor did it have any direction. As much as I tried to stick with it, life got in the way. It gets messy and overwhelming and we have to make those tough decisions such as
'Is it that important?' and 'Do I really have time for that?'.
So as I continued my freshman year pursuing a crazy degree, blogging failed to make the list. Since those days I have found Christ, a major I love, and a man to share it all with. Along with those changes, I still felt like I was missing something, a creative outlet I always craved in high school. Dance no longer being an option for this busy girl, I remembered one tiny little blog I had and thought. For a while. Seriously I sat and thought about going forward with that blog, or starting a new one. Furthermore I questioned the integrity of my previous blog. That blog existed in my past, with the former me, that girl was no longer part of this world. Sure some pieces of her are still here, they always will be, but life happened and God had a different plan. So I sat down with my love and discussed my plans to start a new blog. With his full support and excitement to be involved, Moments with You was born. A co-blogging experience spearheaded by me. No seriously, Joseph wants to post his own thoughts and I think it is the sweetest. Though we may not hear from him often, when he does speak he has the perfect thing to say always. Thanks for stopping by!

Love,
